Going Spare/Tired

Phew! Well, the Hi-Team video is just about finished.

The official showing is tommorrow afternoon and so all that remains for me to do is to make sure that my DVD works in the church's DVD player and that I have the right cables to rig up the sound!

Admittedly it has meant that I've been up until about 4-5am every night this week working on it, so I'm rather baggy-under-the-eyes at the moment, and even then I'm not 100% happy with it - but that's the way things go, and for a one off showing I think I get away with it. So far feedback has been good (except for that children become squeeky when sped up!).

It was also fun doing the music, despite the fact that I still wouldn't want to do it for a living - so, the soundtrack album will be available on Teapot Records! ;-)

And then - after tommorrow, I'll get started on making the DVDs and video tapes for the kids, and for the leaders. So we'll have to canvas some opinion this evening about what DVD games we can add!! (and then I'll have to research how to do 'random' stuff in DVD menus, what fun!)

Anyway - I apologise now for any lack of coherance, and will now go to sleep!

Getting busy... who's in the house?!

OK, just a quick post to explain that I'm still here and that I'm very busy!

Main project at present is getting a video of the summer camp done by the end of next week, which - currently - includes writing 20 minutes of original music for the soundtrack! It's at this point I realise that I don't want to become a per-contract video music writer - however much it might be interesting, you end up having to shelve your own ideas in favour of having something which matches the visuals!

Also still just rebuilding my body and my bike after I fell off it on Hammersmith Bridge a couple of weeks back, just a bit of grazing, bruising and cutting but it's taking a while to heal and still is a bit annoying when I try to put my elbows on the table and realise that actually that hurts quite a bit.

And then there's trying to pass on the drum tracks for Dregs 2 which I recorded a couple of sundays back onto Wes so he can do the final mix, and getting a stable version of Songbase finished...

So, yeah. Best get on ;-)
